CCI-UK Summer Week 2026 (at Unstone Grange)

You are invited to come to this summer CCI residential at a wonderful venue, an absolute gem in a peaceful and secluded location in Derbyshire within easy reach of transport hubs.

A summer week has been sadly missing in our UK calendar over a few recent years, but this event offers us the chance of spending time together in a beautiful place that some of us already love and treasure.
The large, old building is a house of great character, with nice, light workshop spaces, a comfortable lounge and space for us to spread out. The extensive grounds are beautiful, and offer gardens, lawns, trees, an orchard and a quiet camping field. The whole venue is looked after lovingly by The Unstone Grange Trust, with whom we’ve built up a good relationship over the last three decades.

Sleeping accommodation is in shared bedrooms, unless you are camping. There are several comfortable bedrooms so we’ll be able to spread out.

Format

We’ll offer the usual tried-and-tested framework for our event: there’ll be an Opening Circle each morning when anyone may offer or request a workshop or any other activity.

Inclusivity

This event is peer-led and we’ll co-create the event together as we move through the weekend. If you have trained in CCI co-counselling you are welcome to come to this event, whether you are new or old, rusty or sharp as a new pin.

Food

We have booked the wonderful co-counsellor Richard P to do cooking for us, which he and Helena P have done many times at Unstone Grange. This means that the food will be: FAB!

We’ll all take turns washing up and clearing away.

Opening Circle on the Friday evening.

Depart Thursday 13th September, after lunch.
