Laurieston Hall have not included Adults week in their events calendar for 2011.

CCI Adults Week 2011 will take place at the Purley Chase Centre, Purley Chase Lane, Mancetter, Atherstone, CV9 2RQ (Roughly 4 miles north west of Nuneaton which is in the Midlands near Coventry.) You must have completed a Co-counselling Fundamentals course before attending this event.

We will arrive Sunday 5th June and leave Sunday 12th June.

There are two prices, £270 (standard accommodation) and £340 (En-suite). To book you must pay £30 deposit in advance (included in the prices given). There are no chores. The centre has agreed that the event can go ahead (we already have enough people who want to go). There are 7 group rooms plus the dining room. Two of the group rooms will be used by others from the Thursday evening to Sunday.

The event will be made up of a rich variety of workshops on diverse themes, all offered by event participants.

How to book for Adults Week 2011.

Method one (online booking):

Go to www.purleychasecentre.org.uk
Click on Events.
Follow the instructions from there. (NB Adults Week may not yet be listed in their events calendar, but it has been confirmed by them, and they are ready to receive bookings. The event is open to CCI co-counsellors only. We may put something in their calendar at a later stage.)

Method two (by post):

Write to Purley Chase Centre, Purley Chase Lane , Mancetter, Atherstone , CV9 2RQ including the following:
* Make it clear that you are booking for CCI Adults Week Co-counselling event which is 5th - 12th June 2011.
* A deposit cheque for £30, made payable to Purley Chase Centre, or an indication that you've paid your deposit directly into their bank account (see bank account details below).
* Give them your name and at least one way to contact you, preferably more. (Home address, email address, phone numbers).
* Tell them what kind of accommodation you want. The options are En-suite / Standard / Adapted Facilities.
* Tell them if you have any dietary requirements and if so what they are.
* Tell them if you have any allergies.
* Tell them any other information you think they might want.

Method three (ring them up):

* The centre phone number is 0182 771 2370. The staff are very helpful. You may want to use the list under "Method Two" as a prompt for the information they will ask for. They prefer online booking because that is easiest for them.

Frequently asked questions about booking and the event.

Question: What are the arrangements about payment?
Answer: £30 deposit on booking payable to Purley Chase Centre. This secures your place. The balance is payable when you arrive, or before the event. If you book but you don't go, Purley Chase Centre will keep your deposit. If you book and for some reason the event doesn't run then Purley Chase Centre have agreed to refund booking deposits.

Question: What is the Centre / Food like?
Answer: The food is not specifically vegetarian but vegetarian is available. Paul Davenport has been to the centre. He has special dietary requirements and says that he was catered for very well. He is open to being approached for information about his experience of the centre (about 10 years ago). Go to www.purleychasecentre.org for photographs of the centre, surroundings, etc.

Question: What are the meal times?
Answer: 8.30am breakfast, 1pm lunch, 6pm evening meal.

Question: Have any event meetings been organised in advance?
Answer: Just one. We'll meet as a group for the first time at 8pm on Sunday 5th. At that time, the first opening circle for the event will be scheduled. At the first opening circle other meetings, workshops, support groups etc. will be discussed as the meeting decides. Some proposals and suggestions will be available which may make the decision-making easier and simpler.

Question: Have any workshops / schedules / activities been organised in advance?
Answer: No.

Question: Has an introductory workshop for those new to co-counselling been arranged in advance?

Question: Have any arrangements for the emotional safety of workshop participants been made in advance?
Answer: No. If you have any offers or requests to make in this area, please say so at the first meeting (8pm on Sunday 5th). Question: Will there be arrangements for tea / coffee during the day?
Answer: The centre have three group rooms which have tea and coffee available.

Question: How do you get there by rail?
Answer: The nearest main line railway station is at Nuneaton , about 10 kilometres away. Nuneaton is on the main line between London and Lancashire , and trains also serve Atherstone about 2 miles away. These towns are also served by various bus and coach services. A taxi from Atherstone railway station to the Centre costs roughly £12.

Question: How do you get there by car?
Answer: The centre is just over 2 kilometres South of the A5 near Atherstone. It can be approached from all points of the compass via the motorway network, using M1, M6, M42 or M69 for instance.
If travelling along the A5 from the East then just before Atherstone, take the B4111 towards Mancetter. If you are travelling along the A5 from the West, go past Atherstone on the dual carriageway and when you reach the large roundabout at the end, take the right exit towards Mancetter B4111.
After about a quarter of a mile on B4111, just past The Plough pub and the church, take a right turn to Purley Chase Golf Club (brown road sign). Over the traffic light controlled bridge, follow the road round to the right and up through the trees, Purley Chase Centre is about a quarter of a mile further on, on the right.

Question: Is it a problem if people stay up talking late at night?
Answer: The centre say that because the bedrooms are on the 1st floor, there should be no problem with using the group rooms quite late.

Question: Is camping an option?
Answer: Purley Chase do not offer camping in their grounds.

Question: Do I need to bring cushion(s) to sit on?
Answer: Yes. The centre is a conference centre where they usually use chairs! Please bring cushions if you want to sit on the floor.

Question: Will we need flip charts, marker pens, will there be a place we can organise the week's workshops?
Answer: The Centre have 4 flipchart stands with flipcharts and markers for them. They have a large white board in one of the group rooms that can be used as an event planner, along with markers for it. If you want to use post-it notes or blu-tac or other stationery please bring it with you.

Question: At what time can we arrive?
Answer: Please arrive no earlier than 2pm on 5th June.

Question: Before what time must we leave?
Answer: The Centre staff want us to leave before 2.30pm.
