Please Note: this CCI Event is now fully booked.  This is fantastic. We will operate a waiting list as there may be people who withdraw for some reason.  If you are willing to wait and see, please apply in the normal manner, but do not pay a deposit.

cci_2018_logo_2_faces.pngWe invite you to join with us to explore our relationship with our- selves and our world in a week-long event in the summer of 2018.

We have found an exciting and beautiful venue 'Gartmore House' with hosts keen to work with us to create a profound experience. Gartmore House is a magnificent 19th century country house set in the Loch Lomond and Trossachs National Park in Scotland near to Aberfoyle. The venue is ideal for walking, cycling and exploring nature.

There will be opportunities for multi-lingual workshops indoors and outside and, of course, lots of sessions. Or, if you prefer, you can simply come and enjoy what is one of the most beautiful parts of Scotland. The organisers are aware of the international nature of this event and will endeavour to support participants whose first language is not English.

FROM EGO-CENTRIC TO ECO-CENTRIC

The world around us is changing fast. Judgmental and materialistic Us-Them divisions seem to be deepening and undermining our world’s social fabric. Outright lying in the face of evidence and fear mongering have become normal currency which undermines everyone’s trust. Denial of climate change affects all our lives. How can we use Co-Counselling to live through the upheavals and develop a sustainable world?

We encourage workshops around ‘Finding a healthy balance between ‘me’ and ‘our world’. We invite you to prepare workshops at other CCI events between now and summer 2018. We will smiley. Please think with us: What can be offered to make ‘From Ego-centric to Eco-centric’ as inspiring as possible?

Travel Information

By car from the south (Glasgow)
Take the A81 from the city center and travel via Milngavie and Strathblane to Aberfoyle. Then go to Gartmore village. Gartmore House is clearly indicated.

By car from the north (Perth) or East (Edinburgh)
Take the M9 to Stirling and leave the M9 at junction 10 (marked 'Stirling'). Follow the A84 towards Callander. After 4 miles (just outside of the Safari Park), take the A873 to Aberfoyle. After 17 miles, at the T-junction (opposite the Rob Roy Motel), turn left onto the A81 towards Glasgow. In less than a mile, past the board for Gartmore village, Gartmore House is clearly indicated on the right side of the road.

By public transport
Stirling is the closest train station for inter-city and sleeper services. The bus station is next to the station: line 11 drives to Gartmore (phone 0870 608 2608 bus for exact times). We also consider taking a bus between Sritling Sation and Gartmore House.

From Glasgow or Edinburgh airport.
Each airport has a good bus or tram connection with the train station. Hence the train can be taken to Stirling.

Full details of travel options will be available nearer to the event.

Food

Gartmore House’s host team is happy to work with us on the various dietary requirements.

Kate Golten has agreed to co-ordinate food and dietary requirements and to liaise with our hosts.
